Section 2: Business leader

This section is dedicated to Bosch’s role as founder of the huge industrial complexes "Ammoniakfabrik Oppau” and “Leuna-Merseburg". His efforts as director of BASF and board chairman of IG Farben Corporation, of which he was co-founder, are also explained.

Bosch is presented as an industrial chemist, who on the one hand - on the basis of his "Salpeterversprechen" in 1914 - opened up the technical facilities for an increased production of ammunition. Yet on the other hand he committed himself to an international reconciliation during the Versailles Peace Negotiations in 1918/19.
The most important documents of his active struggle against National Socialist anti-Semitic policy are arranged in a folder.
